Hey there F lists! Hope every one's doing well. Here's a summary of what's happening in my neck of the woods <---- Ya don't think Al from the Today show will be mad at me for taking that do you? ;o)

~ My lil sis is graduating high school May 15th. Her birthday is May 12th. Mother's Day is May 10th. & one of my friends b-day is tomorrow May 4th. Looks like my check will be a bit small this month.

~ The hospital is on red alert for that swine flu. Fortunately, we've not had any cases yet. We've had a few people come in with flu like symptoms, but none being the swine variety.

~ Contraband days has kicked off for the next two weeks. I want a funnel cake so bad. -__-

~ I'm getting better at my job, albeit slowly, although my confidence and security in it is still bland at most.

~ It's raining over here and I attempted to watch Stephen King's Red Rose on SciFi but to no avail. Watching scary movies isn't my thing no matter how corny they are. I still end up sleeping in the living room with the lights and t.v. on for a week. *sigh* Pathetic. I know.

~ Books-A-Million hasn't updated their Ouran High manga. Naruto looks like it's getting good again. They are doing well with updating their Bleach. I even managed to catch the english episodes on Adult Swim last night before calling it a night during the middle of Code Geass: Lelouch. I was just extremely tired. *sigh*

~ In fact, I was supposed to go to the club last night. My friend wanted to go and since we were riding around with nothing better to do, we decided to be spontaneous. Of course, this was when we discovered she lost her driver's license and had been driving around for a whole week with out it. We didn't find it last night, so I ended up at home watching Adult Swim. I wasn't angry or even dissappointed b/c I knew I'd go out again for my lil sis's graduation/b-day celebration in 2 weeks.

~ My 5 year class reunion is this year. Every one in my class is either married, has a kid, or is married with kids. I think there may be only a handful of us that has not yet bit the dust.

~ Every time I plan to go somewhere I've never been, I get rained out. I think my parents are wanting to go watch the dirt races this season. I want to go. It's been a while since I've watched the dirt car races at Thunder Valley.

~ I got my eye brows waxed for the first time yesterday. It stung but wasn't too bad. I'll probably regret doing it in a few weeks when my eyebrows will look like some fuzzy caterpillar up and died on my face. Yuck! lol. Although, that is a far stretch from the truth. I doubt it'll be that bad.

~ I've been thinking about joining the city orchestra. It's been a while since i've played my flute or read music, but a bit of practice and I should be okay.

Yep, life is just soooooo interesting for me right now. Wake up, eat, work, go to the park to work out, home, eat, read a book, bed. *sigh* The weekends aren't any better.  *heads table* I think there's something wrong with this picture. -__-

I apologize by advance for posting something unrelated to your post but Idon’t know another manner to be heard by the Ichiruki fandom .Help me, unfortunately I can’t post in fan clubs or other threads because of personal reasons. I read the Ichiruki Fc at Bleach Asylum Forums and as you are a fan of Ichiruki like me (in fact I am a fan of Ichiruki and Ichihime) I wanted to ask you a question which has tormented my mind lately :do you think that Studio Pierrot, Kubo Tite and the seiyuus are using the Ichiruki couple as a confidence trick? I won’t have asked you this question before two years but now I just wonder. I will explain, we all know that Ichigo and Rukia as a couple is very popular in Japan , so now that the focus is on Ichigo and Orihime it seems that Bleach has lost some part of its popularity .I read somewhere that the manga in the Hueco Mundo arc and mostly the volume 32(Ichigo and Grimjaw fight )didn’t sell well in Japan and for some time during the anime the focus was on Ichigo and Orihime with the hand holding scene of episode 167.My conclusion about that is that the author, the animators… are using Ichiruki for fanservice. The definition of fan service is to give to fans what they want. Just after this hand holding scene which was not in the manga and which might have angered the detractors of Ichihime, there is the Amagai Arc where Ichigo and Rukia only(not Orihime,Chad and Ishida )were featured during the last half of this season with the beautiful Ichiruki ending “Gallop”. Contrary to the Ichihime couple we have Jump covers and color spreads to our ship but I read somewhere in the artbook that it is not the author’s choice to draw what he wants but he is directed by Shonen Jump. I think that if there is covers of Ichigo and Rukia together or merchandise of them together it is because they are the hero and heroine of Bleach .I heard that at his visit in America the Bleach’s author was asked to draw the cosplayers he liked. It was his choice but instead of drawing Ichigo and Rukia he drew Ichigo and Orihime with Komamura and Nel . Perhaps deep inside him he wants to draw Ichigo and Orihime together but he can’t .I don’t want to insult the author , I read Bleach manga until chapter 355 and watch the anime (I am at episode 216)so I know that Bleach is largely based on popularity and commercial(merchandising)so what I think(it is just a speculation so you can disagree) is that the author of Bleach is greedy for money. Think about it the Hueco Mundo Arc is a fail and even in anime which must have a large audience and a safe budget to still continue to be broadcasted. So where does they find the budget ? with Fade to Black which is rather similar with the Soul Society arc which made the glorious days of Bleach. Fade to black made a hit in the box office and the animators earned lots of money. I was comforted with this idea when I learned that there is a videogame on DS Flame Bringer coming soon which is very similar with Fade to black (Rukia who becomes evil because of a zanpakuto ,who will fight Ichigo who wants to save her and Urahara will do some revelations). Its as if the producers have found a goldmine which they want to exploit to the maximum.

Hello! I apologize for my late response. I don't have internet at my home and have to come to the library to log on. So I also apologize in advance if my replies come back a bit rushed. I only have 30 minutes before the evil computer kicks me off-line. -__-

Now onto your post:
Do I think that the studios, Kubo, and the seiyuus are using IchiRuki as fanservice?

My reply to this would be no. A good author/authoress always writes his/her story ahead of time so that the story is right in front of them. They will always have their notes, time lines, character descriptions, summaries, and outlines handy. This way, he can avoid numerous plot holes and will have a schedule handy of events to draw and write. I'm sure Kubo went through numerous rough drafts and changes before proceeding to write his final draft as did J.K. Rowling for Harry Potter or any other author/authoress out there. My own personal opinion is that from the very beginning, when Bleach was just an idea, he knew exactly what he wanted. A good kick butt manga for boys and a bit of romance for the girls as well. Remember, Kubo is a huge Shoujo fan as well.

As for the anime: The manga is it's own entity as the anime is its own as well. It's kind of like how all the Jurassic Park movies never fit the books. The manga has to sale and so does the anime. Why would I read the manga only to watch the same thing I just read twice? So the anime is always going to be a bit different to keep audiences interested. Ichigo and Orihime didn't hold hands in the manga but they did in the anime. It keeps the audiences interested in finding out the truth. You see, the anime itself just also helped to sale the manga. Because now every one wants to find out if what's going on in the anime is true with the manga.

Kubo vs. Shounen Jump:
First, let's keep in mind that most manga in Shounen Jump can't be longer than, what? 10 pages...14 at max? There are a lot of events going on in the story line, more than what can fit into the pages of Shounen. Kubo once said in an interview that what worries him the most is that his panels don't make any sense to the reader or if he didn't get a character's reaction correct. You see, he can draw 100 panels, but by the end of the day, he can only choose certain panels to fit the 10 or 14 pages required for Shounen. Keep in mind that these drawings, battle scenes especially, take a lot of space to draw. So Shounen comes in and helps him to piece together the story to make more sense to the reader in a short amount of time.

Kubo in America:
I don't recall hearing this, but I've also not had internet since his visit. Where did you find this? I'm curious now. @_@

Hueco Mundo Arc:
The Hueco Mundo Arc is not really fail, just something that Kubo had to write differently from the old Bleach. Keep in mind that as a story progresses, characters change and develop as well. The Hueco Mundo arc is one of those arcs where we see all of our characters in need of development. From Ichigo to Rukia to Orihime to Chad. So you see, the SS arc (although it is much loved and wonderfully written towards IchiRuki, IMO) was an arc for setting up backgrounds, introducing characters, explaining more about one of the main fighting groups-soul reapers,& to also show the bigger plot, and the HM arc was to show how much more developing they need to defeat their foe, new characters, and also how much Ichigo, Rukia, Chad, Ishida, & Orihime's personalities have changed from the begining of the manga.

So you see, in my honest opinion, Kubo had planned from the get go to have Ichigo and Rukia as the main characters. He intended for them to have a deep bond and to become closer. I also believe that he can have them as a couple because of how close they are and what they faced together. When he draws Ichigo and Rukia, he intends their reactions to mean something to his audience. He doesn't want them second guessing what his intentions are. Truly, he's really a magnificent story teller (he has two fandoms constantly at each others throats for pete's sake)who keeps his audience wanting more.

Not to sound as if I'm being mean, because I'm not, but sometimes people get lost in the fandoms and underlying romance of a story and miss the bigger basic picture and purpose of the arc in general.

Even in the interview of the author for Fade to Black there was a passage where he said that ”the concept of the film and its topic was something he could agree with but some things made him worry till the end” or something like that .So I don’t know if the hug between Ichiruki is just fanservice . Nowadays ,even the seiyuus are teasing but same as the author they talk about ”bond” and “unique relationship” and not love. So what if they are just saying all that to please us fans and in fact Ichigo and Orihime become the couple. They all can say after that they never said outloud that Ichiruki were lovers which is true, Even the author said that he ”will not confirm nor deny it” like perhaps yes , perhaps no. He can also say:”I didn’t promise you that I will make Ichigo and Rukia a couple which will be true and we won’t be able to treat him of liar .Will he be such a sadist to us. Sorry but with the lack of Ichiruki in the manga I have begin to ask me questions. Regarding the anime about the opening songs and endings or the scenes between Ichigo and Rukia which are borderline romantic perhaps the author thinks that what is important is his manga and he doesn’t care what they do in the anime. What if he thinks “my manga is canon and the anime is fanon “and tht’s why he doesn’t care what Studio Pierrot does(several scenes added for Ichihime during Grimjaw and Noitra fights, recent mini-reunion with eye contact between Ichigo and Orihime which was not in the manga). Same with ending songs and opening songs. For example if it was Ichigo and Orihime or Renji and Rukia who run off together hand in hand in the last ending song, then people will say ”what is happening to them ,are they a couple? ”because this is unusual .But if it is Ichigo and Rukia except us Ichiruki shippers other people will brush it off with ”they are the hero and heroine” “we know that they are close to each other “because it is usual.. And besides I think that there is a silent war between Studio Pierrot and the author since the declaration of Orihime’s feelings to Ichigo, it seems that now they are playing a love triangle between Ichigo, Rukia and Orihime(Opening 10) and the author seems to don’ t care about that and sticks to his manga because even if there is a love triangle there is only one girl for Ichigo and as I saw with the recent developments in the manga it is leaning towards Orihime to my disappointment. Besides I have the impression that the author will make Orihime and Ichigo a couple in the very last chapter to not lose his fanbase , or before if he decides to stop being greedy for money .When I read in forum what will Ichiruki fans will do if Ichihime become canon they said they will stop reading Bleach or watching it, they will burn their manga or merchandise of Ichigo and Rukia and I think that is why he takes his time with the Ichihime interactions and she does not get over from her love for him until now to finally make them a couple at the very end. I hope not but I can’t help think about it.

Kubo vs. Fade to Black:
Once again, keep in mind that Kubo truly has little say in what anime teams do. All he can truly do is approve it or have them make certain changes. I'm reiterating this because of what Kubo said, "the concept of the film & it's topic was something he could agree with but some things made him worry till the end". Think about this. It's your story that someone is creating into an anime/movie and you truly have little to say about how to write it. He liked the idea, the plot, the whole concept, but it seemed he was a bit afraid that the movie would take something a bit too far. Something that could potentially ruin his manga by bringing it about too soon. If they would truly have a huge Ichiruki reunion of feelings here, it would ruin the manga. It would ruin Kubo's 'wow' factor for the readers because then he would have to make the reunion bigger and better than the movie. Do I think the anime team could have taken out that IchiRuki hug and still kept the movie plot correct? Of course they could have. And if Kubo wanted them to take it out, then they would have, but he chose for them to leave it in albeit wanting it to not be soo dramatic. I hope I made sense to you here. -__-

Ichigo and Orhime can never truly be a romantic couple. Although Orihime understands Ichigo, she doesn't truly understand how to go about implementing it. And Ichigo still doesn't understand Orihime. This was shown in HM. Orihime wants to be able to protect Ichigo, but the second Ichigo comes in, she hides behind his back and does nothing. Her flame to fight dies. And some of this is also Ichigo's fault. She's told him time and again that she wants to protect him yet he still pushes her behind his back. He treats her as if she's a child who can't walk yet. Someone who can't stand on their own. In doing this, he's destroying her fighting spirit. And Orihime is no better by letting him do this. Treating her as if she's more like a sister. Taking liberties in telling her she's very heavy or not to worry because big brother will take care of this for you. <--not actual words but you get my point. She keeps elevating him into some sort of God-like status when truthfully he's just a 16 year old boy who doesn't even understand how to control his own hollow.

When Ichigo gets hurt because of Orihime, Orihime feels horrible and wants to get involved but ends up hurting herself in which Ichigo sees she's hurt because of him and gets discouraged. They're like two walking time bombs. Not good for the other. They both can't stand at all on their own. -__-

Being bias, Rukia at least is smart enough to know that at times Ichigo needs to be de-elevated. Knocked off his ego-tistical high horse. She also doesn't let him to run the show alone. They are equals. When he falls, she jumps in and defends him and vice versa. There's no crying in a corner or getting discouraged and losing the fighting spirit here. They have each others backs, they know each others weaknesses, and understand each other.

I would like to write more, but my time is almost up and the librarian is giving me the stink eye. *shudders* So, I will leave you for now and hope the very best for you no matter what ship you choose. Ta Ta for now. :o)

What don’ t reassure me is the fact that Orihime is still in love with Ichigo. She didn't fall out of love with him when she saw his mask and now she has seen Ichigo 's new form she did not fear him but feared for him and is still in love with him .I want her to move on from her love for him but why didn't she do it yet? why the author of Bleach reinforces the fact that she is still in love? At this rate I fear that Orihime will still be in love with Ichigo even when he will fight against Aizen or in the last chapters of Bleach . Perhaps in the near future she will be the witness of another thing concerning Ichigo's hollow. .What I can’t stand is that Rukia has yet to see any of those Hollow forms and the number keeps growing .So, as you see Ichiruki absence in the manga is unbearable for me .I am proud and I adore all the scenes ,merchandising they get outside but I have this nagging feeling that it is too good to be true, if it is only fanservice and we don’t get our favourite couple I will be devastated. I rather have development between Ichiruki in the manga than in the filler or merchandising especially if we won’t have them as a couple in the end. I like Ichihime but my favourite between the two is Ichiruki and I will be so sad if it won’t happen despite all the things between them. I am a desperate fangirl. According to you am I wrong to think that or it’s true. Please help me ,I need words of comfort .If you don’t mind please can you pass this message to our friends since I can’t myself in the fan-clubs.I allow you to post my message in other places(fan clubs, livejournal). I want their opinion about that. Please!!!

Excuse me if I have disturbed you and for my bad English. Sorry for my long post .Thank you and bye.

Perhaps you have seen in Bleachness that I am considered like a troll but I meant no harm . I think that I am a person who is lost and doesn't know what to believe in and I apologize to you who have took time to answer my questions ,I realize now how it was silly of me to post in the first place and that my approach was very cheap.I thank you for your warm and friendly welcome and I sincerely apologize once again to have done that.
